Winter Sausage Fire Glazed Ham
- 1 Winter Sausage Unglazed Spiral Sliced Ham
- 1 Glaze Packet (Winter Sausage Special Blend)
Heat to Serve:
Cut away wrap and remove soaker pad. Sprinkle ham with glaze packet, and use a torch to brown the glaze on the ham. Doing this prior to cooking allows for maximum flavor.
Place in pan and cover with foil. Set in oven at 250 degrees F. Allow 13 minutes per pound.
Each ham is fully cooked. It can be served cold. We suggest room temperature for maximum flavor.
Dijon Maple Glazed Spiral Ham
- 1 (about 9-pounds) Winter Sausage Unglazed Spiral Sliced Ham
- 3/4 cup Vernors
For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons whole-grain Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place ham in a roasting pan and pour about 3/4 cup Vernors into the bottom of pan. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 300 degrees F for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until heated through, soft and tender.
When ham is heated through, remove the aluminum foil, and pour or brush the glaze over the top to cover completely. Raise oven temperature to 400 degrees F.
Return the ham to the oven and cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until glaze is caramelized and bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
